12 Hours of Head Endurance Race

Posted by: RyanS In: Local News| Races

Well Saturday, July 11th was a day we’ll remember for quite a while. With muscle memory that is! The goal was simple, Bike from 6am to 12pm and then Run from 12pm to 6pm. All this to determine the fittest male and female on earth (or just Hilton Head Island.) Stemming from a casual conversation between local members Kevin Purvis and Alfred Olivetti, the news spread quickly and 21 athletes finished the event! It was a close finish as Sam Metzger took 1st with a total of 227.7 race miles, Chip Collins 2nd, and Kevin Purvis 3rd. Congratulations to all the finishers of a great day on Hilton Head Island.
